Rodrygo shuts down Arsenal transfer rumors with clear Real Madrid message

Rodrygo might find it hard to start for Real Madrid

Rodrygo’s situation at Real Madrid has become a major talking point this transfer window. The 24-year-old Brazilian forward saw limited playing time under Xabi Alonso during the recent Club World Cup, which has fueled talk about his potential departure from the club.

Despite the speculation, Rodrygo has stated publicly that he does not want to leave Real Madrid. The club’s management, however, has not entirely ruled out selling him. They would only consider an exit if the player himself asks to leave and if a substantial offer comes in. Reports indicate a serious offer would need to start at €100 million.

Recent interaction with fans during his holiday has added to the rumours. When directly asked by a fan, “Are you going to Arsenal?”, Rodrygo did not answer. He remained silent and seemed to pretend he didn’t hear the question. This reaction has only increased the discussion surrounding his potential transfer to Arsenal, who appear to be a likely destination if he were to move.

Besides Arsenal, Manchester United is also keeping a close eye on Rodrygo’s situation. The Premier League club has long admired the Brazilian player. They remain interested even after signing Matheus Cunha this summer.

With talk about players like Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund possibly leaving, United might seek more attacking options, and Rodrygo fits the type of forward Ruben Amorim’s team could use.

Rodrygo’s future remains undecided for now. Real Madrid is not actively looking to sell. However, if the right offer is made and the forward expresses a wish to leave, a significant transfer could still happen before the transfer window closes.
