Real Madrid star undergoes anti-doping after latest match

Mbappe

Real Madrid’s star forward faced an unexpected delay after his recent appearance for the team. The player, Kylian Mbappé, was part of the squad for their latest fixture and made a significant impact on the field. However, off the pitch, a standard procedure kept him at the stadium longer than anticipated following the club’s important win.

Mbappé returned to action for Real Madrid on Saturday night in New Jersey. Still recovering from illness, the 26-year-old began on the bench for their Club World Cup quarter-final against Borussia Dortmund. He was later brought into the game and played a key part as Real Madrid secured a 3-2 victory.

The former Paris Saint-Germain star provided a moment of brilliance deep into injury time. His goal was Real’s third of the evening and ensured their spot in the CWC semi-finals. However, after the final whistle at MetLife Stadium, Mbappé was selected for a random anti-doping test by FIFA.

This testing requirement was confirmed by El Chiringuito TV. It meant that Mbappé’s departure from the stadium was delayed significantly. He reportedly left the venue a full hour after his teammates.
