Rodrygo Goes has seen limited playing time recently at the FIFA Club World Cup under new manager Xabi Alonso. After starting the opening match, the 24-year-old featured sparingly, appearing only as a substitute in one game and remaining unused in two others. This reduced role has sparked speculation about his future at the club.
Reports indicate that Real Madrid and Xabi Alonso are open to Rodrygo leaving if a suitable offer arrives. According to AS, Arsenal is ready to make a significant financial commitment to sign the Brazilian this summer. The North London club is reportedly willing to offer more than €90 million for the player.
Arsenal is planning a pivotal summer, having already signed Martin Zubimendi and Kepa Arrizabalaga. They are now focusing on strengthening their attack. While signing a new striker like Benjamin Sesko or Viktor Gyokeres is a priority, Arsenal has also targeted Rodrygo.
The club sees him as a key attacking figure alongside Bukayo Saka and has been in contact with his representatives since before last season ended.

Rodrygo has halted all transfer discussions until after the Club World Cup to maintain focus. Negotiations are expected to resume in August once the tournament concludes. Following the competition, Alonso and Rodrygo are scheduled to discuss the player’s future.
Should Alonso decide Rodrygo is not a core part of his plans, the forward would be open to leaving, provided he can choose his next club. Arsenal anticipates reshaping their squad this summer with planned departures to create space for new signings, including potential arrivals like Rodrygo.
